The film opens at night with workers transporting a Velociraptor.
The raptor attacks, killing a worker named Jophery. Joe is grabbed by the raptor when it hits the cage,which goes backward and creates an opening between the container and the holding pen that the raptor was going into,Joe falls into the opening, the raptor grabs him and pulls him into the cage,Robert Muldoon grabs Joe's hand and tries to save him, he says his famous line 'shoot her' instructing the fellow workers to shoot the raptor and save Joe, But the raptor is too strong and it kills Joe.
Later, just after Joe's death, the lawyer Donald Gennaro arrives at Mano De Dias amber mine(Mano de dias translates to 'hand of days') and talks about how Joe's family has sued Jurassic Park for a hefty $2,000,000 and that if some experts sign off on the island, they will be good to open the park.
Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler are just chilling while they dig up dinosaur bones in Montana, but then John Hammond shows up in his helicopter and tells the two to come to the island and he will fund some more digs for them.
After this scene, the movie jumps immediately to the helicopter arriving at the island and everyone (who I will explain to you).#1, Dr Alan Grant is the guy who is an expert on dinosaurs and has published a large amount of books and documentaries about them.#2 Dr Ellie Sattler, she works with doctor Grant and is an expert on paleobotany.#3 Dr Ian Malcolm, he is a Chaotician that strongly believes in chaos theory, which describes nonlinear systems.#4, John Hammond is a rich man who owns a large stock of amber, five islands and this guy is all ego and set on the success of 'Jurassic Park'.#5, Donald Gennaro is a lawyer hired by Jophery's family, he is extremely worried about the island's safety, he is also a slimeball who is addicted to having lots of money. When they land on Isla Nublar, they get into two jeeps and drive toward the park. On the way, they run into a Brachiosaurus and Parsaurolophus herd "Welcome to Jurassic Park"
